This symbol represents <strong>Soroptimists<\/strong> whose heart and arms are open to all people and enlighten its surroundings.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>* On either sides of the lady, there is a wreath of laurel leaves on the left and a wreath of oak leaves on the right.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>* Yellow and blue are Soroptimist colors. The emblem is designed on yellow background, yellow symbolizing existence, life, intelligence, desires and spiritual development. The lines are drawn in blue, the color of trust, loyalty and wisdom.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>\u201cWe stand up for women\u201d is the slogan of Soroptimists world wide.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Every president has a new slogan and chooses a flower as a symbol when she takes over the duty.\r\n<p>Turkish Union\u2019s 2021-2023 slogan is \u201cOur Strength, Our Unity, Our Women, Our Future\u201d and the symbol flower is the purple lotus (water lily).<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>2021-2023 President\u2019s comment of the symbol flower: \u201cThe purple lotus (water lily): <strong>Purple<\/strong> is a color that symbolizes women&#8221;s struggle. <strong>Lotus<\/strong> is a flower that can bloom amid turbid waters and survive on the surface of the water without any contamination. Just like women who can leave their environment and reach better lives with faith, courage and struggle. We hope our lotus flowers will inspire women&#8221;s struggle.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\r\n\r\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\r\n<p>Turkish Union&#8217;s 2023 &#8211; 2026 slogan\u00a0 is \u201cIn Pursuit of Light We Walk to the Future\u201d and the symbol flower is the \u201cSunflower\u201d.<\/p>\r\n<p>The President of 2023-2026 made the following statement about the symbol flower: \u201cThe meaning of sunflower in floral language is; unity, peace, cooperation and absolute dedication. It represents the will to live and the power to survive. Just like us as women. Sunflowers never look at darkness, but at light; they always turn their faces towards the sun and follow it. As we Soroptimists turn our faces towards light. They get strength from each other, they support each other.\u00a0 It is time to support and protect each other, just like the sunflowers.
